How the game is pricedHow do I join the beta?
Open our TestFlight invitation on your iPhone or iPad. Install Apple’s TestFlight app if needed, then follow the invitation to install Warlord Academy. You’ll need iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later. Beta places and builds are subject to availability.
Do I need Apple Intelligence?
No. Apple Intelligence can interpret orders on supported devices, but the game also has a built-in order reader. Both work on your device. You can play on supported iPhones and iPads without Apple Intelligence.
What does “command with words” mean?
Type a squad order in plain English before the fight, such as “Hunt their healers” or “Hold the line.” Your champions follow that plan during automatic combat. Your draft, formation, and timing still matter.
Is ranked play live multiplayer?
Ranked is asynchronous: you face recorded runs of real players in ranked matches. It requires Game Center and an internet connection. Practice runs on your device against bots, without a Game Center sign-in.
Is it free to play?
During TestFlight, purchases use Apple’s test store and don’t charge you. Test purchases don’t carry over to the App Store release.
The planned release includes 10 free practice matches with all champions. A one-time unlock adds unlimited practice and 30 days of ranked play. After that, ranked is an optional subscription. No ads, loot boxes, or purchased champion power.
